7 Laptop-Friendly Cafes in Athens with Free Wifi

If you’re anything like me, you need a quiet place to focus on some work where you can also get a snack or a coffee.

As a study abroad student in Athens, I was constantly in need of finding new places to do work. Throughout the semester, I visited many different cafes that offered great snacks and free wifi. I went to new ones every time I went downtown until I found some of my favorites.

Here is a list of some of my favorite cafes in Athens to enjoy a snack while doing my work!

1. Wild Soul

Wild Soul is a very cute place to do work, and they have comfy couches around their tables.

This cafe is located in Syntagma, only a short walk from the metro station. They have a selection of sandwiches, salads, and coffee to choose from along with free wifi. The vibrant colors and trendy atmosphere gives this place a lively, yet laid-back feel. It’s a great place to work if you don’t like to be in complete silence.

2. The Underdog

The underdog is one of my favorite laptop-friendly places because of their nice outdoor seating area.

It is shaded with lots of greenery around, making it a relaxing environment to do work. They have plenty of space and tables of all different sizes if you choose to do work with a group. They have lots of snacks, coffees, and lunch options to choose from.

3. Holy Llama

Holy llama is a smaller cafe with vibrant colors and a screened outdoor space. They serve a variety of vegan treats here as well as coffee, and the ladies that work here are the sweetest! I recommend getting their almond croissant!

4. Big Spoon

Big Spoon is located in the suburb neighborhood of Agia Paraskevi.

Perhaps you need a break from the business of the city and want to work at a quieter, less populated cafe. I love the food selection here, as well as their coffee. They also have plenty of seating inside and outside and tables that are large enough to study in a group.

5. Peinirli

This cafe is another one of my favorites downtown since not many people know about it.

This cafe is named after a popular Greek food called Peinirli, which looks like a pizza boat. They have an upstairs space that is always a quiet place to work. They have endless amounts of treats and savory pastries to choose from, and even some traditional Greek desserts.

6. Warehouse Assemblage

Warehouse Assemblage is a very budget-friendly cafe, especially for its location in the center of downtown.

You may find quite a few tourists enjoying the outdoor seating on a nice day, but inside is a quiet, aesthetic place to work. They are coffee experts here, and you can come back later to try some wine from their wide selection of wines.

7. Diplo

Diplo is a quiet cafe where the locals go to catch up with one another. It is located in the neighborhood of Omonoia, you won’t find many tourists here. I found that it was a nice place to focus without so many tourists coming in and out.

For all the digital nomads out there, Athens has plenty of work-friendly cafes with coffee and snacks to keep you going. I always enjoy finding new places to do my work while writing new blog posts and trying new foods while I’m there. Save this list for your trip to Athens!
